Heather Morgan

Since I got nothing today, I decided to just write something about the next song that came up in the rotation. I don’t want to go into what the rotation is, so don’t worry abou that right now.

As luck would have it, a song called “Penny” by my friend Heather Morgan was next. Now Heather isn’t the type of friend that I talk to every week and all that. We met each other playing music around town. She moved to Nashville, and we e-mail now and then, and I try to catch her show when she plays around here. Heather was nice enough to sing on a recording of a song I wrote for my nephew. She has an absolutely beautiful voice, and she is an extremely profound writer for such a young lady…quite wise beyond her years.

Go give her a listen. Go to www.heathermorgan.net . Buy her SSSB CD. It is great.

And while I’m on the topic of very talented and lovely young singer/songwriters named Heather Morgan, visit the web site of another friend of mine in Canada. www.heathermorgan.ca .

Then go visit www.durangobrothers.com, because I said to.

This title has little to do with the entry.

Today I decided to take my own advice and not be so stupid all the time….at least not today. Ok, Ok. I tried to stop for about 20 minutes this morning. During those 20 minutes I figured out how to add stuff to this blog page. I added links to a couple of my friends’ blogs. See just there to the right? Jay and Scott.

I’ve got one more friend I’d like to add, but I’m too busy being stupid again. I filed the instructions for editing my blog page in a hanging folder. My folders are not labeled. I don’t like labeling my folders, because I don’t like for people to know what I’m doing.

I don’t want ANYONE to know what I’m doing. Not even me!

I also added a picture of myself. At least I think it is of me. Either way, my blog just wasn’t quite vain enough without a photo of me. Or whoever that handsome devil is.

Today’s entry is a little different from yesterday’s entry. When I started typing yesterday, I had no idea where I was going with the entry. I started typing, and that is exactly where I arrived.

Today I started writing with a purpose. I knew exactly where I was going. I started typing, forgot where I was going, and ended up right here

Where go?

I begin typing these first few words with no idea where this is headed. A brilliant blog post idea popped into my head day before yesterday just as I was leaving work. That thought, along with many others, is long since gone.

I apologize now for the time you may waste reading this.

That's how this blog world works though. You post frequently or no one ever hears of you. Thus, I'm typing out pretty much nothing as quickly as I can, because I just want to get out of here. I should feel guilty for wasting web space on vanity. I've just "next blogged" through about 10 other people who also have nothing to say, yet posted it anyway.

So here is where I arrive. I have three tidbits of advice:

1. Don't be a blogger. 99% of them, including this one, are wastes of time and space.

2. Stop being so stupid all the time.

3. Do something nice for someone.

Until next year,

S
